The demand for plastic is likely to double in the next twenty years, and most plastic is still made from petroleum. As our oceans are poisoned with common plastics, the sea itself offers a natural and very usable alternative. The raw material of seaweed can be released for the production of biodegradable plastics, textiles, papers as well as concrete curing compounds for construction.

Seaweed is the fastest growing biomass on our planet. Using photosynthesis as the most efficient way to capture CO2, each ton of wet seaweed has absorbed 120 kg CO2, 2 kg of nitrogen and 0.2 kg of phosphorus. On top, our seaweed applications often replace fossil fuel based products (synthetic fertilisers, pesticides) or result in a reduction in methane emissions (cow feed), therefore providing scalable offsetting facilities to businesses.
